How to convince Akimset you are not Spammer

As discussed in my last post Akimset is the default WordPress Plugin to fight spam comments.  Being active on millions of blogs sometimes Akimset makes mistake by wrongly regarding legitimate and original comments as spam. Read my last post to know more about this problem

Akimset Blocking my Genuine Comments on Other Blogs

Here in my tutorial i am going to highlight the way in which bloggers may convince Akimset they are not spammers but this tutorial is specifically targeted for genuine bloggers who leave relevant comments on other blogs.

How to convince Akimset you are not Spammer

If you are one of those unlucky bloggers whose blog domain url address has been blacklisted by Akimset then first of all relax and think positive to refresh your mind.

Now open five of your favorite blogs relevant to your niche each in a new tab within your favorite web browser.

Pick two popular posts from each blog in which you have never left your comment before. Now read the entire posts and leave well crafted relevant comments on the chosen blog posts.

Quick Tip:- The comments must be of high quality and relevant to the post. The comment must exceed one line but should be maximum of four lines. Avoid Jargon or Technical words and write in most simple English. While commenting make sure you enter one of your valid email address and use a full name like “Ali” may be used by spammers but “Chaudhry Ali Moin” sounds valid name.

Once you are done with it now open

http://akismet.com/contact/

Now click on support. A contact form is opened with 7 options. You have to choose the fourth option from the top “I think Akismet is catching my comments by mistake”.

In the next field Akimset asks you a simple mathematical question as a security check in like for example 14+7= ?. Simple the answer is 21 this test is to ensure only valid human beings send a message to Akimset support.

Enter the exact same name you used for commenting on blogs i mentioned at the beginning of the post and the same valid email id that you used for commenting in the relevant fields.

Now open a new website in a new tab

http://www.whatismyip.com

This website tells you your ip address.

Simply copy your ip address and paste it in the message box of Akimset support. Now start making a subject for your message like for instance a sample is given below

“My name is Chaudhry Ali Moin. My Email Id is [email protected] My ip address is 000.000.000.00. My blog address is http://www.abcd.com. I am a genuine blogger not a spammer who leaves relevant comments on other blogs. I think Akimset is by mistake treating me as a spammer you can check your logs for further assistance. Kindly remove my blog url from your blacklisted database. I shall be thankful. I am looking forward in receiving a positive response from your side. Thanks. Take care”

Now Click on submit message and see if the message sending success message appears after submission. The Confirmation page will acknowledge that your message has been sent to Akimset support and the message sender is thanked.

Now it depends on your case of when you will receive a response from Akimset team and if you were engaged in spam activities then it is unlikely Akimset will respond you but if you are really a genuine blogger who left good and relevant comments on other blogs then you will receive a response email from Akimset detailing that the problem has been fixed. If you are a genuine blogger but fail to receive a reply from Akimset then wait for seven days and after that again repeat the same procedure. You can try requesting Akimset a maximum of three times after that chances exist of Akimset system blocking your messages to their support team.

Another tip is to leave comments on other blogs and request moderators to search their spam database created by Akimset and mark your comments as “Not Spam”. This will further convince Akimset that you are a genuine blogger. Although in this case very few bloggers will help you so the above mentioned detailed tutorial is better then these shortcuts.

Some Tips to avoid the label of spam on your Blog Domain

• Blogging Newbies are advised not be very fast in leaving comments on other blogs.  Start your campaign with commenting on one blog post each of two famous blogs on the first day and never exceed five blogs and two blog posts on each blog per day.
• Although some blogs offer do follow keyword benefits but use a valid name and valid email id while leaving comments on other blogs. If a blog is do follow and it has permitted its commentators to use their targeted keywords in the anchor text while commenting then be vigilant enough to use a single short keyword related to your site homepage otherwise your Off Page SEO Efforts won’t reap favorable benefits.
• While leaving comments on other blogs take care of the spellings and try to avoid jargon or technical terminology. Be concise your comment should exceed one line but should not cross 4 lines.
